Gray and black moth - Garella nilotica

Gray and black moth - Garella nilotica
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
May 3, 2018
This was a gray and black moth that had a straight black dash on the costa at the basal area. The head and all the way down to the AM line was light gray, almost white. The AM line was black and straight until it reached the inner margin where it formed a sort of crown. There appeared to be another line below and parallel to the AM line, although more indistinct as it reached the inner margin. At the area of the PM line, there was a semicircular shape on the costa. In the ST area, he had vertical dark gray streaks. His fringe was dark gray.
