Moved from Phytomyzinae.

Forgot I had made this page. I'm pretty sure yours is a Liriomyza.

Moved from Leaf Miner Flies.

That makes sense. I have found a few of these mines, and there are several other examples on BugGuide, but no agromyzid has been reared from linear mines on Rudbeckia.

I'll return to collect the mine.
I didn't collect this mine but know exactly where it is and will return for it. I've only had success rearing Phyllocnistis insignis and Porphyrosela minuta from their mines. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I'm not sure what... As always, I appreciate your help!

This one looks empty/aborted,
but hopefully you can find some others.

Rudbeckia laciniata
A friend has identified the plant as R. laciniata.
