strange anthicid - Ischalia costata

Size: about 5 mm
Found "overwintering" under a long-neglected pile of oak cordwood on an 80-degree day in late October. A quick glance through my pocket loupe told me this was the same species Tom had posted some time ago.

Used to be in Anthicidae,
now a separate family.
