Unkown carabid beetle - Formicilla munda

Unkown carabid beetle - Formicilla munda
paso robles, san luis obispo County, California, USA
September 2, 2007
Size: 3mm
I collected this small beetle from pitfall trap used for a study in vineyard. I assume it's a carabid for there seems to be bean-shaped trochanter present, but I'm not sure. It is an abundant species here, and can be found throughout the growing season. This is one of the last beetle remained to be identified for my thesis project. Any helpful hint to the genus (or species) of this organism will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Anthicidae: Formicilla munda
It does not have a "bean-shaped trochanter". Fairly common in the Central Valley.

Anthicidae
A new one for the guide I think.
