Anchorage Alaska spider - Araniella proxima

Anchorage Alaska spider - Araniella proxima
Anchorage, Alaska, USA
June 12, 2018
This is a spider my friend found on his car hood in Anchorage. I don’t know how big it is but, I’d like to help him know what kind of spider it is.

Moved
Moved from Araniella.

A. proxima adult male
According to Buckle & Roney 1995, "The A. proxima male has broad, dark
submarginal stripes on its carapace, absent in A. displicata."

Thank you
Do we feel like we have to verify range extension, or is that description enough to ID?

Verification of range
Updated range (p.191):
The orb-weaving spiders of Canada and Alaska
