Malobidion brunneum - Malobidion

Malobidion brunneum - Malobidion
Lower Ida Canyon, Huachuca Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
June 12, 2018
Four specimens of this rarely collected species were taken at UV/MV lights on the southwest side of the Huachuca Mountains. The monsoon rains have not started although this canyon did get one good burst (less than 1 inch) of rain a few days prior. This is one of the few species of longhorned beetles with 12 antennomeres rather than the typical 11.
