Giant Lichen Orbweaver - Araneus bicentenarius
Kisatchie National Forest, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, USA

Size: half dollar
This spider was in a low area of the Wild Azalea Trail. It did not have an orb web, but was running back and forth very fast along very long strands of web between standing vegetation at about head height and a little higher.
