Several days ago, I had gone for a short walk in the scrub in the evening after a rain, and had noticed quite a few of the endemic scrub tridactylid hopping around. I didn't have my camera with me at the time, so I thought I'd take the camera out on another evening, post-rain. Sure enough, I found several adults within just 15 minutes of searching. They were surprisingly cooperative for photos, standing still for the most part except for occasional leaps, and eventual burrowing into the sand after being disturbed a few times.
