Mystery Roach Please Help!
Rhode Island, USA
June 16, 2018
Found earlier in apartment on the bedside table. At first glance I thought it was a german cockroach but it doesn’t have the telltale stripes. I am in the East coast of the USA so I’m not sure what this could be and if I should be concerned. Does appear to be a cockroach but I can’t be sure. Help!

Moved from ID Request.

probably a
Spotted Mediterranean Cockroach (Ectobius pallidus). They are an introduced species, but not considered a pest species. They mainly just stay outside, but sometimes in summer they will wander into houses, but not cause any harm. I am in New Hampshire and we get them around this time too :)

Yep, looks like an adult E.pallidus indeed...
Probably an adult male to be exact.
