Microhoverfly - Passaloecus

Microhoverfly - Passaloecus
Vancouver, Lower Mainland, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
June 15, 2018
Size: around 5-6mm
was told this was a microhoverfly?? Genus would be wonderful, species great if it can be identified.

Moved

Hmm...
I've never heard of a microhoverfly. This is a wasp, and looks (to me) to be something in Pemphredonini.

Hold on to see what others think.

In the meantime, please click on "edit" and fix the sighting date. The system didn't like something about the way the date was entered, and is displaying the default date of December 31, 1969. You'll want to fix the date on your bee image, too.

Thanks--and welcome to BugGuide!

wasp
And so it is! Thank you very much. I never would have thought it was a wasp
