This might be Sesia spartani. Hold on for an expert.

Moth ID
This appears to be a female Sesia spartani. What type of habitat was this image taken or what tree species was it found on?

Habitat
Photo was taken in a 4-acre deciduous woodland in an otherwise marshy habitatat (43deg 37' 13" N; 88deg 40' 8" W), along the trail to the boardwalk on the auto tour in the NW corner of Horicon Marsh. Can't tell what kind of tree.

Moved for expert attention
Moved from ID Request.
