Unidentifiable bug - Dasymutilla

Unidentifiable bug - Dasymutilla
LAKE ISABELLA, Keen County, California, USA
June 18, 2018
Seen this bug can’t tell if it is a bee or spider or what

Moved
Moved from Velvet Ants.

Fuzzy Bug
Looked at first like it could be a Thistledown Velvet Ant (Dasymutilla gloriosa), but I don't think the legs are black on the females of that species. It looks a bit wet or something, possibly making it look different than usual, so may be something else in that family like Dasymutilla sackenii, which is also in your area I believe.

We'll see if anyone else concurs.
