Is a dorsal shot preferred for all beetles, or is there something about this species that requires it for ID? I wish there was a "Guide to Photographing Preferred Features" for all insects and spiders!

When I have time and a cooper
When I have time and a cooperative subject that I'm not sure how to id, I try to get dorsal, ventral, lateral, head, and sometimes butt shots.
