Synanthedon pyrior, Carmenta bassiformis; or something else? - Carmenta bassiformis - Female

Size: ~0.75 inch (19 mm)
This female landed and presented herself on the leaf of a wingstem plant (Verbesina alternifolia) around 1:00 PM. Approximately ten minutes later I noticed she'd hooked up with a male.
