Butterfly Puzzler: What's light gray and lives in the Sierras, and isn't a hairstreak? - Celastrina echo

Butterfly Puzzler: What's light gray and lives in the Sierras, and isn't a hairstreak? - Celastrina echo
Kyburz, El Dorado County, California, USA
June 21, 2018
Size: 2 or 3 cm
This butterfly looked white in person and light gray in the photos, but it's not a hairstreak, it's markings are more like a blue. Nothing in my Butterflies Of California book looks anything like it, so I'm stumped and asking for help. Thanks in advance to any experts!

Pacific Azure
Moved from ID Request.

Celastrina
This is an Azure, genus Celastrina. The genus is currently in a state of flux, so I'll leave it to a local expert to provide a species name. Your butterfly is a female, which accounts for the dull colour.
