Well, I'd read in multiple place on the web that only M. mellina has acid green halteres OR only M. scalare has acid green halteres, and in some places I've read that only males and in other places only females have the green halteres. Well, I can definitely say that the females of one of the Melanostoma species can sport acid green halteres as shown in this sequence. :)
