Size: WS: 2 in (5 cm) or more
Based on what I've read online I believe this to be either Xanthotype sospeta or Xanthotype urticaria, and that disection would be required for an accurate ID. It appears that neither species is recorded in Fayette County. I also have photos of some relatively large Geometridae caterpillars from the same location, not sure at this point if those are any easier to identify to species level or not
