On desert broom

Moved
Moved from Lobometopon.

Lobometopon fusiforme (Casey)
Of the three species in the southern USA, this is the only one that appears almost glabrous (the setae on the pronotum/elytra are very short).

Moved
Moved from Metapoloba.
Metabpoloba usually has a more reddish brown appearance. Lobometopon is more this dark grayish color. Also Lobometopon lacks the ridge above the eyes that is present in Metapoloba.

FYI these guys were all over
FYI these guys were all over the desert broom feeding on it.

Moved
Appears to belong in Metapoloba. OTOH, Kojun is the expert here. Didn't see his remark till I moved it.

Tenebrionidae
