millipede at Vargas Plateau - Tylobolus

millipede at Vargas Plateau - Tylobolus
Fremont, Alameda County, California, USA
June 22, 2018
Size: about an inch or more
noonish on a path in Vargas Plateau Regional Park, about 1000 ft elevation, above city of Fremont. I think it is Tylobolus, either species castaneus or uncigerus.

Moved
Moved from Millipedes.

It is a species of Tylobolus. T. castaneus may be somewhat more probable than T. uncigerus, but pending a modern revision of the genus, species IDs should be tentative, especially where two species are known or likely to co-occur, as in this area.
