Small Fly - Condylostylus occidentalis - female

Small Fly - Condylostylus occidentalis - Female
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
June 27, 2018
Size: 5-7mm
Looks somewhat similar to Condylostylus-occidentalis, but is a bit smaller and shorter. Was hanging outmin the same area as the Condylostylus-occidentalis I was photographing. Wondering if it is male and female? I have also included an image of the Condylostylus-occidentalis I was photographing near it.

I already un-linked them for you and moved them into the genus.
You are correct about the genders. Let's wait for expert help, before moving these images to the species level.
