Diamond Moth - Sonia constrictana

Diamond Moth - Sonia constrictana
Chilton County, Alabama, USA
June 30, 2018
This was a tan to rusty brown moth that had a checkerboard type pattern of dark patches between his basal and AM lines. His median line was very straight with dark rusty brown shading above. He had two dark patches at the costa in the median area. Most distinctive though was his dark brown diamond-shape in the PM/ST area. His apices pointed outward and they also had some light brown shading. ID suggestion: Sonia constrictana.
