Half inch long, all canary yellow spider makes cone leaf shelter above orb-like web

First saw one without a web in the same back yard 50 years ago and never forgot it. Same color as yellow crab spider but a classic non-crab female spider shape. Medium stocky legs, not spindly. It made a teepee shaped cone from a single leaf above a small vertical orb web. Closest thing to it in bugguide is six spotted orb weaver. Do they make leaf shelters? Went in to get camera but rain started and washed it away. What are the odds I'll see a 3rd before I die? :-(

Sounds like Araneus marmoreus

She will sew together some leaves for a shelter on the edge of her web.

That sounds right. I guess there's some variation in color.

Thanks a lot. :-)
