Size: 3.5 mm
Black Light and Mercury Vapor lights.
Specimen was covered with mud so soaked for 24 hrs in Simple Green and used vibrator on vial to shake off mud.

Characteristics that make me think this is G. californica (which isn't in BG to compare with), that relate to pictures, using Gordon's keys (1). Other possibilities depending on interpretation of characters are G. mendica & M. paramendica. I have no other specimens to compare this with. With correct sp. identified some pics can be removed that aren't important.

- Metasternal groove picture is oriented head to left. Mid leg removed (by accident), attachment hole at bottom. Groove is deep posteriorly, shallow towards center of body anteriorly with the arrow pointing to the deep side.
- Pronotal frontal fovea I considered to be deeply impressed.
- Elytral striae strongly, nearly continuously carinate.
- Posterolateral emargination of mesotibia with 3 widely spaced spines and another next the 4th (as opposed to the key which says 3 or 4 short, widely spaced spines).
- Mesotibial apex weakly projecting laterally, projection rounded.
- Tubercles on head large, dense.
- Apiical posterosuperior metatrochanteral margin with 2 small teeth.
- Metatasternal sculpture irregular, forming reticulate pattern, but meeting hind coxa only near the center.
