Black witch moth? - Ascalapha odorata

Black witch moth? - Ascalapha odorata
Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, California, USA
July 4, 2018
Size: 4-6 inches
I woke up to find this giant moth trapped in an old spider web under the eaves of my house, outside the window. I was able to rescue and set it free. This still is taken from a video of that process. I have read that the black witch moth begins its migration from Mexico in June and has been seen as far north as Canada, according to this site. Is my identification correct? Thank you!
Becky
