Question regarding Helfer's Book "How To Know The Grasshoppers,..."

I have a copy of Helfer's "How to know the Grasshoppers, Cockroaches, and their Allies" C1953. I notice that there is a new edition out C1987. Does anyone know if there is any updating of the taxonomic data provided by this book between 1953 and 1987, or is the 1987 just a reprint of the original text? This is a great book, and would be even better if brought more up to date taxonomy wise. Thanks for any info.
Gary

My 1987 Dover edition (ISBN 0-486-25395-3)
on copyright/preface pages cite enlarged republication of 2nd (1972) edition; includes new preface, new footnotes, new illustrations, crickets added, and additions to appendix, bibliography, index; vii + 363 pp. Included preface to the previous revised edition ("1971") does indeed refer to taxonomic name changes in that edition.

Helfer revised
Peter,
Thank you, I was hesitant to invest in the latest edition, but I think I'll go ahead now and order a copy later tonight.
Gary

Thanks, noted on ref. page
Oh, very interesting, I had no idea there was a second edition. Any edition has been very hard to find, in my experience.
I added a note about the 2nd edition on the citation page for this book (1).

1987 Dover edition is an expansion, not just a reprint
of the 1972 2nd edition as stated in first sentence of my original reply.

OK, corrected
OK, that is corrected now on the citation page.

Almost a decade later, I stum
Almost a decade later, I stumble into this discussion string. The book you were discussing is available (today, Jan 11/16) at Abebooks.com which is a used book site.
