Tribe Resthenini - Prepops rubrovittatus

Tribe Resthenini - Prepops rubrovittatus
Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, California, USA

Looks like Rhopalidae - Scentless Plant Bugs, along the lines of a western boxelder bug, but I have not seen these markings before.

Good call, Ken!
The similarity with the "Western Boxelder Bug" and the "Red shouldered Bug" made me think it was a scentless plant bug! The little heart shaped spot should have told me Miridae - in fact, I did briefly think of that!

Apparently not as red as Prepops bivittis...?
