Arrow indicates peglike appendage on tip of foreleg, upon which the animal rests when the leg is touching the ground. Thus, the raptorial portion of the foreleg -- including the large claw and the structure into which it folds -- does not directly contact the ground...contributing to the illusion that no, really, I'm just an ant, there's nothing unusual about my forelegs at all...
