East Angus (near Vermont), Quebec, Canada
July 16, 2007
Hello,

I photographied that fly (male syrphidae) last July at East Angus, Quebec (near Vermont)...

Could it be genus Eristalis? If yes, which species do you think???

Thanks again for your help so appreciated :-)

Eristalis looks right to me.
Yours is similar to several I've shot; none are identified to species. Getting an ID to species is generally difficult with such flies, but I wish you luck.

Thank you very much Ron...

Cheers!
