A little off
- it's actually Acanothocephala declivis. The shape of the hind leg flanges - extending down the entire shin, almost all on one side - is the first tip-off (for me) that this is not Leptoglossus. See

I'm an amateur too, and have definitely had my share of help from other users to get even as far along as I am now in bug ID (which is not very far). Not surprisingly, the bugs I know best are the ones I've photographed myself, such as this one.
