Spilomyia alcimus

Spilomyia alcimus
Patuxent Research Refuge North Tract , Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
July 8, 2018
I think this is a Spilomyia alcimus.
Is it ?

Moved
Moved from Syrphid Flies.

Propleuron not visible (necessary in the 1997 key by Thompson) but all-black front tibiae distinguish from S. texana (Curran 1951).

Cropped and moved for expert attention
Moved from ID Request.

Not Milesia. More likely Spilomyia alcimus. The experts will know.
