Mallota
Thanks Kelsey with the ID help - I became friend with this fly over the course of two hours. Once in a while he flew up to me (in helicopter fashion) to check me out, just to make sure I'm not a competitor. His water hole is in a tree trunk, never dries out - it is a sacred place in the woodlands!
