Millipede in Coral Gables, FL - Chondromorpha xanthotricha
Coral Gables, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA
June 3, 2018
Size: 1-2 inches length
Unknown millipede found at Fairchild Botanical Gardens in Coral Gables, FL. I almost called it asiomorpha coarctata, but then noticed that it was quite hairy up close and didn't look quite right. What could it be? Observation can be seen at: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/13092199

Yep. Chondromorpha xanthotric
Yep. Chondromorpha xanthotricha (Attems). Introduced from Neotropics

Looks like Chondromorpha xant
Looks like Chondromorpha xanthotricha, a species that Rowland Shelley reported from Texas in 2000. We don't have a species page for this one yet on BugGuide, nice find!

Cool Millipede
That's a pretty cool millipede.

Do you happen to have another picture of the whole body?
