polyphemus moth I think - Antheraea polyphemus
Ajax, , Ontario, Canada
Size: 2 1/2 closed wing length
I noticed something odd on a tree. Odd place for a leaf, turned out out was this ragged looking gorgeous moth. It was hanging on for dear life on the bark/ It didn't open wings for the 10 mins we watched it. It looks like a polyphemus moth I have in a book & some of the images look like it when I googled. Am I right in what it is> Thanks
