Long legged fly
Wow , these are great pictures of such a small fly . I am no expert , but also have taken this alien-like fly's photo and was impressed by how unique he is . I was surprised to learn that it is a type of Long legged Fly ... possibly related to the metallic colored small flies with the long legs . What detail , Beth

This is a stunning shot. How did you get it so sharp at 1/30 sec? It couldn't have been handheld, was it?

Hand held. These were the only good ones out of about 50 tho.
