And the two of us are one of a kind.....(Moe Bandy song) - Argiope aurantia - male - female

And the two of us are one of a kind.....(Moe Bandy song) - Argiope aurantia - Male Female
Bauxite (Sardis), Saline County, Arkansas, USA
Size: Adults
The female garden spider was feedin on wasp and small butterflies (skippers) buzzing around the "Arkansas Traveler'/Pepper vine and honeysuckle blossoms covering an old dead tree near the house during the summer. I stopped to take a closeup of her and noticed what I assumed to be the much smaller male crawling around and on her. He was constantly tapping the web or her body to let her know he was "not lunch yet". I watched for about 20 minutes and then went back inside. When I went back out later in the day, he was not there, although I'm not sure the new "tidbit in the sack" in the upper part of the web was him or not. I never saw him again.

Black & Yellow Argiope (Argiope aurantia)
I believe it is a Black & Yellow Argiope (Argiope aurantia). I also think that the small one is the male.
