Thanks. looking at "Butterflies of Canada" and I think you are right about it being a pearl crescent

Looks like one of the Crescen
Looks like one of the Crescents. (Phyciodes genus). Probably a Pearl Crescent or a Northern Crescent, but you'll need to wait for someone more expert to tell you for sure.

The density of the dark markings is more like Phyciodes tharos.
