Swallowtail in Minnesota - Papilio cresphontes

Swallowtail in Minnesota - Papilio cresphontes
Savage, Scott County, Minnesota, USA
July 21, 2018
This beautiful showy swallowtail visited the cone flowers behind our house today. I think it might be a Giant Swallowtail, but I haven't seen one before. It constantly fluttered its wings, even at rest. The underside of the wings were more of a buffy yellow than the gray that shows in the photo.
