I am pretty sure this is a miner, and I've not seen anything like it yet (Neurobathra or Acrocercops come to mind).

Two different species?
Taking another look, it seems like the first two photos (mine ending in a small tent, not entering the midrib) could be a
Caloptilia
of some sort, and the second and fourth pairs (boring in the midrib) are likely to be
Neurobathra
. Not sure about the third pair.

Neither genus is known from birch, and I don't believe mines like this have been reported on birch either, so I hope you can find occupied ones at some point.
