I am pretty sure this is a miner, and I've not seen anything like it yet (Neurobathra or Acrocercops come to mind).

Two different species?
Taking another look, it seems like the first two photos (mine ending in a small tent, not entering the midrib) could be a Caloptilia of some sort, and the second and fourth pairs (boring in the midrib) are likely to be Neurobathra. Not sure about the third pair.

Moved
Moved from Unidentified Leaf Mines.

Neither genus is known from birch, and I don't believe mines like this have been reported on birch either, so I hope you can find occupied ones at some point.
