Geometrid Moth
Fully developed wings = Adult
Please remember to check this box on your master image. All of the images in order Lepodoptera are organized by Adult -- vs. -- Immature. If you don't check this box, someone else has to do it for you, on every image that you submit. I have done it for you here.

Is this something I would do
Is this something I would do after someone tells me? I would have no idea if a species was an adult or not.

Yes
If you are not sure of the age, then you should leave it blank. However, with most of the Moths, Butterflies and Sawflies, it is very obvious. The immature are always larvae (like a worm) and almost all of the adults have wings.
Please compare: -- vs. -- ...and: -- vs. -- ...and: -- vs. -- Generally, most of the insects with fully developed wings are adults.

Plemyria georgii
