Denver, Denver County, Colorado, USA
July 28, 2018
this bug was on a seed pod of a milkweed plant

Despite the range description
on the info page, we haven't seen any images of reclivatus posted from anywhere north of about Phoenix, but we would not be offended if you move this back to genus. We left the Texas through California images alone until we get some confirmed images of the nymphs of reclivatus and analis

I'm fine with leaving it here.
We can always move it later if we get some adult reclivatus from CO.

Moved
Moved from Lygaeus.

Are you sure...
...we can rule out L. reclivatus in Colorado?

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Milkweed Seed Bug?
Looks like a Lygaeus species in the Lygaeidae.
