How do I change the title on this one...
Hi Brady. Now that you've so kindly id'd this beetle, I can change the title. How would I do that? Last time I was here was about 4 years ago when I found a Female Rain Beetle on my porch. :-) Now I see this beetle that I've never seen before in my yard. Was curious if it is common?

Yes, I remember that female rain beetle. I'm still envious.

Changing the title is easy. On this page, look under the thumbnail photos and you'll see a couple buttons. Click on "Edit" and that will take you back to the page where you put in all the info for your photos.

I think this is a common species, but it was years before I caught one -- I wound up with a nice series from Arizona last year. Maybe they're less common this far north.

Thanks Brady!
Changed the title, per your recommendation.

Regarding the Female Rain Beetle, I wish I had known to have kept it for you. It must have flown off...or crawled off to die since, when I returned outside after taking the photo, it was gone. :/

Crawled off
Female rain beetles don't have functional wings. If you find another, let me know!

I'm very naive. :-)
Thanks for letting me know.

And, if I do find another, I will definitely save it for you. :-)
