Size: ~ 1/2 inch
Time 11:14, temp lo 70s F, sunny. This large (~ ½”) fly was found on milkweed (Asclepias syriaca). It flew/hopped from leaf to leaf several times, but showed no signs of feeding. It has some resemblance to Atylotus as shown in Marshall and in Murray/BG.
