"With Cryptolestes, you really need to examine genitalia (of either sex) to be sure [of species]. Some Leptophloeus are superficially very similar to the Cryptolestes spp. near ferrugineus and are distinguishable by the relative width of the intercoxal process of the first visible abdominal ventrite (narrow in Leptophloeus, broader in Cryptolestes)." --M.C.
