Remarks
Introduced from Europe in the 1940s.
Apterona helix (Siebold, 1850), referred to as Apterona crenulella (Bruand, 1853) by some authors, has been the name applied to North American specimens of this species. This is treated as a parthenogenetic form of Apterona helicoidella (Vallot, 1827) by the World Catalogue of Insects, Vol. 10: Psychidae (Lepidoptera) (1) and Pohl et al. 2016 (2).
