I think this has to be Phytomyza, but the fact that the exit slit is on the upper surface makes me think this is not a species in the minuscula group as would be expected.

The host and frass say Phytomyza; the puparium seems very Liriomyza-like... it sure doesn't remind me of puparium of the P. minuscula group, which is what would be expected from a linear mine on this host genus (no miners are known from T. occidentalis specifically).

There may be one uneclosed puparium remaining.
