- Head
--- Arista definitely white.
--- Ocellar bristles present.
--- Broad and shiny frontal vitta (broad longitudinal stripe anterior to ocelli) .

-Thorax
--- Anepisternum and anepimeron with hairs but without strong bristles. Anepisternum is below wing and forward of it's attachment. Anepimeron is below wing attachment.
--- Subalar sclerite with vallar bristles. Subalar (very small and linear)is below wing and above anepimeron.
--- Prescutellar acrostichal bristles present (the 2 in the center anterior to scutellum).
