5mm bog species

5mm bog species
Hanwell, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
July 20, 2018
Size: 7mm
This species was numerous in a raised Sphagnum-Kalmia-Black Spruce bog. I managed to capture this one but it did not fare well in the vial. I am hoping someone can narrow it down based on its habitat.

Frassed
Moved from Water Veneer. This is a crambine, something like Crambus albellus

Were they flying along the water surface?

In a raised bog
The moths were flying around plants in the raised bog, which was dry, with no standing water.

Crambidae
Could be a tattered Acentria ephemerella.

**
Good choice, tempting, but the size is 7mm, not 10-15, and the bog was dry, although there is a small wet stream nearby. I did not look at the wet area for moths, so i can't say if that was the source. Are the males considerably smaller than the females? If so, then you may be correct.

10-17mm is wingspan, not wing length
“Size” is vague
