Unknown Spider - Araneus pegnia - Male

Size: 4mm
Found him on my bathroom wall. My spider book is at work so I'm not sure what he is. It's exciting to find something new right in your house! Any help?
edit: changed the size from 8mm to 4mm. All I had was an imperial units measuring tape which I don't usually use for such small measurements, and I misread the markings.
