Cicada - Megatibicen grossus

Cicada - Megatibicen grossus
Chilton County, Alabama, USA
August 6, 2018
This one is much larger than Linne's Cicada. I measured it at 7 cm long. The green on the head and wings was a dull green. No shine. The thorax was white with black and gray patches. The wings had two dark spots near the apices. Underneath, he was almost solid powdery white. His call was long and drawn out and at a lower frequency than Linne's.
