Orange Fritillary - Speyeria cybele - female

Orange Fritillary - Speyeria cybele - Female
Pike Lake Provincial Park , Saskatoon and Area, Saskatchewan, Canada
August 6, 2018
This Fritillary let me get quite close for a few photos while it fed on thistle. My camera is a simple point and shoot with macro and the lense often focus beyond it while it moved on the flower but got a few great photos. It took off after it was done feeding for flowers further in the thistle patch which proved most uncomfortable to traverse.
